The 3.5-mile McIntosh Lake Loop Trail in Hygiene, Colorado is a lovely display of wildflowers and spectacular views of Longs Peak and Meeker. It’s family-friendly, with several parks on the circuit. The loop is also ideal for paddling, kayaking, running, walking, and biking activities.

From McIntosh Lake, visitors can watch the sun dip below the mountains in the west and set a blaze of colors across the sky.

The Coakley Creek Trail is a 1.3-mile loop route in Longmont set along Coakley Creek. This lake is ideal for walking, running, bird viewing, cycling, and fishing. Dogs are also welcome on this path.

Golden Parks Park is an 88-acre natural park with 4 ponds on a former mine with 2.6 miles of trails & abundant birdlife. There is no charge to fish, canoe, or walk around the pond. Dogs are welcome on certain paths throughout the park.

Rabbit Mountain Open Space

 

Eagle Wind Trail is a 3.8-mile loop in Hygiene, Colorado that features attractive wildflowers and is suitable for all skill levels. This trail has a variety of activities available and is best used from March to October. Dogs are also welcome on this route, but they must be kept on a leash.
